Where in the World

One mystery country a day. Six guesses. Each guess tells you how far off you are and in which direction — and unlocks a new clue. Same puzzle for everyone; a fresh country tomorrow.

How to play

Type any country to guess. If you’re wrong, you’ll see the great-circle distance from your guess to the target, an arrow pointing toward it, and a closeness bar — plus a fresh clue drawn from real, sourced figures (which continent it’s on, roughly how many people live there, how wealthy it is, and more). Get it in as few guesses as you can, then share your result grid.

Every clue comes from World Bank Open Data, and distances are real great-circle math between countries — no made-up numbers. When you finish, the map reveals exactly where today’s country sits.
