Next Rocket Launch & Live Schedule

Somewhere on Earth, a rocket lifts off every few days. Here's the next launch with a live countdown, the upcoming manifest from every spaceport, and — on each city page — an honest read of whether you could actually see it from where you are, or whether the live stream is your best seat.

Can you actually see a launch?

It depends on where you are. Within a few hundred kilometres of the pad, a daytime launch climbs visibly above the horizon a minute or two after lift-off. Farther out, the rocket itself disappears — but a launch near dawn or dusk can paint a glowing, expanding exhaust plume high in the sky (the so-called “space jellyfish”) that's sometimes visible from hundreds of kilometres away. From the other side of the world, it simply isn't visible — which is exactly what each city page will tell you, rather than pretend otherwise.

132 CITIES

Each city page works out how far the next launch's pad is from that location, which way to look, and whether it's a watch-from-your-yard event or a watch-the-stream one.
